About Us

April 1995

BJ SILK has woven Silk Fabric with utmost care. Established in Korea,
one of the world's top five silk production regions. Korea was the best producer of silk
during the Three Han Dynasties of Korea (300 BC - 300 AD). Originating from the second-tallest mountain
in Korea, the clean water of Nam River helps make dyed silk brighter and prevent discoloration.

OVER THE PAST YEARS

BJ Silk has learned a lot from the lives of silkworms we grow. We’ve had
many moments in which we had to endure pain in a restricted environment. We had to tear off the thick
skin and come out of it, too. It may not be an easy journey, but we’re going to willing going through it again
in order to fly higher. We’re going to weave diverse people’s lives together with painstaking care
and wind thread on a spool while watching out that the thread doesn’t get tangled or contaminated.

Values

History tells us that threads and fabric are stronger than any gun or knife.
They were the beginning of trade, the driving force behind the industrial
revolution, and the key to survival for many. BJ Silk is keep weaving
the history of silk, to do its best to make high-quality, high-value silk products
while letting nature take its course and working for sustainability.
